Jasmine Curtis-Smith is setting the record straight after online chatter suggested she had undergone cosmetic procedures.
The Kapuso actress addressed the speculation on X, saying she felt the need to speak up after seeing posts about an alleged change in her facial features.
“I’ve seen the Reddit rumor and comments. No, I haven’t gotten anything done to my face,” she wrote.
Curtis-Smith explained that her appearance may have changed simply because she recently returned from a trip. “I have gained 6kgs from my recent trip to Australia and have been crying on and off for a few days,” she shared, adding that the assumptions have taken an emotional toll.
She noted how quickly people jump to conclusions about women’s bodies, regardless of the circumstances. “I gain a little and apparently I got botched work done, I lose a little and I’ve got an eating problem,” she said. “Not trying to win over anyone but it’s bothersome to read the comments.”
Fans quickly rallied behind her, calling for compassion and defending the actress against what they described as unnecessary scrutiny.
Curtis-Smith has not disclosed additional details about her recent struggles but thanked supporters for their messages.
