Chelsea Fernandez turns heads in Sarimanok-inspired look at Miss Cosmo 2025

Chelsea Fernandez delivered a standout moment at the Miss Cosmo 2025 national costume competition in Vietnam, emerging as one of the event’s early favorites with a vibrant ensemble inspired by the Sarimanok of the Maranao people.

The Filipina beauty queen stepped onstage in a multicolored carnival-style creation by designer ER Stephen Alvarado, drawing from the mythical bird known as a symbol of prosperity, guidance, and spiritual strength.

“Inspired by the mythical Maranao Sarimanok—symbol of prosperity, guidance, and spiritual strength,” Fernandez wrote on Instagram, adding that the look brings “Filipino Muslim heritage to life through vibrant rainbow plumage, gold accents, and intricate okir patterns.”

Her performance secured her a spot in the Top 17 of the national costume competition, further boosting her momentum as she continues to lead the Miss Cosmo People’s Choice race based on online votes as of Monday afternoon.

This marks Fernandez’s second time representing the Philippines on the international stage, following her Top 15 finish at Miss Globe 2022.

The Miss Cosmo 2025 coronation night is set for December 20.
