THE Land Transportation Office has permanently revoked the driver’s license of a well-known vlogger.
This followed the complaint of netizens over a viral video of him driving a Ford Expedition with a fake license plate while not wearing a seatbelt.
LTO chief Markus Lacanilao said the vlogger failed to appear at the scheduled hearing of the LTO- Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) to submit his verified comment to explain his side of the story.
He said due to the vlogger’s disregard of the show-cause order, the agency has completely revoked his driver’s license.
He said the Ford Expedition will remain on alarm while it has yet undergoing a complete roadworthiness inspection at the LTO Motor Vehicle Inspection Facility.
The viral video also showed the vlogger frequently looking at his mobile phone camera while driving, which obstructed his view of the road, potentially causing accidents and endangering fellow motorists.
