GCash, Queen Bee Capital team up to simplify remittances for Filipinos in Japan

GCash, the Philippines’ leading e-wallet, has teamed up with Japan’s Queen Bee Capital (QBC) to simplify cross-border transactions for Filipinos working in Japan, eliminating the need for physical remittance centers.

The collaboration integrates GCash into QBC’s PayForex platform, enabling Filipinos in Japan to seamlessly remit funds directly to their families’ GCash accounts in the Philippines or cash in to their own GCash wallets.

This can be done using their Japanese (+81) or Philippine mobile numbers.

Queen Bee Capital Co. Ltd. (QBC) is a Japanese financial services company that operates the PayForex platform, which has been in service since 2011. Many Filipinos in Japan already have their Japanese bank accounts linked to PayForex. Customers can also choose to pay conveniently at convenience stores.

The funds transferred are instantly available for use by recipients in the Philippines at over 5.2 million QR merchant partners, 520 GLife partner merchants and 339,000 cash-in and cash-out (CICO) outlets nationwide.

“At GCash, we prioritize financial inclusion for all Filipinos, whether in the Philippines or abroad,” said GCash International general manager Paul Albano.

“Our partnership with QueenBee Capital empowers OFWs in Japan to send secure and fast remittances to their loved ones. Their families can seamlessly use the funds for daily needs, investments, insurance, bills, and more—all within the GCash app,” he said.

GCash continues to expand its global partnerships to ensure access to fast, secure, and seamless financial services for Filipinos worldwide.
