Filipino entrepreneurs from various industries recently took part in an intensive, hands-
on workshop aimed at enhancing their knowledge of global sourcing and importation,
held on November 22, 2025, at Luxent Hotel through a strategic alliance between KPC
Importation Services and Alibaba.com.
Strategic Workshop: Elevating Entrepreneurial Skills in Importation
The workshop was led by Mr. Khelvin P. Cruz, CPA, MBA, CEO of KPC Importation
Services, alongside Dr. Mary Cruz, Co-Founder of KPC, and Ms. Jane Huynh, Regional
Manager of Buyer Growth SEA at Alibaba.com. Their guidance provided attendees with
a structured, high-level training experience focused on best practices for importing and
sourcing products globally.

Participants engaged in hands-on activities such as optimizing Alibaba accounts,
creating KPC accounts and codes, verifying supplier legitimacy, identifying
manufacturers versus trading companies, and implementing streamlined importation
processes with KPC’s guidance. These exercises equipped them with practical skills to
navigate international trade effectively.
