Aggrieved workers get P756M judgment awards through NLRC in Q3 2025

The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) has released over P756 million in monetary awards to nearly 3,000 workers during the third quarter of 2025, a proof of the Marcos administration’s resolve to uphold workers’ rights and deliver justice to those who have been wronged in their workplaces.

Data from the NLRC’s Financial and Management Division (FMD) showed that P756,909,734.81 was distributed to 2,907 worker-complainants from July to September this year.

The released amount came from respondent-companies who were found liable or ordered by the Commission to pay the monetary claims of workers for violations such as illegal dismissal, underpayment of wages, non-payment of benefits, and other violations of labor standards laws.

The Commission assured that all judgment award releases were carried out in strict compliance with existing financial rules and procedures to ensure transparency, timely payment, and accountability in the disbursement of funds to affected workers.

The NLRC, an attached agency of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), emphasized that the accomplishment underscores the government’s active role in protecting workers’ rights and in ensuring the prompt enforcement of labor judgments. It is also in line with the DOLE’s mandate to administer labor laws fairly and expeditiously, and supports the Marcos administration’s thrust to uphold workers’ rights and promote industrial peace through efficient, transparent, and responsive public service.

The Commission also reminded workers and employers to transact only with authorized NLRC offices and to steer clear of fixers and ambulance chasers when processing monetary claims or enforcing labor decisions.

The NLRC may be reached through its regional and satellite offices nationwide, or via its official website at https://nlrc.dole.gov.ph, where contact numbers and other official channels are listed.
