The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) underscored the crucial role of direct member feedback in shaping institutional reforms at its 2025 NCR Stakeholders’ Dialogue in Quezon City on Nov. 19, 2025.
GSIS president and general-manager Jose Arnulfo Veloso told the assembled members and government representatives that their input is the “trigger for real change.”
“We are here to listen so we can better understand how to make your transactions with GSIS easier and more convenient,” Veloso said.
“Every improvement you see started with someone speaking up in a dialogue like this one,” he said.
Veloso cited a recent policy shift, which was driven by member feedback, that removes the required down payment for members purchasing GSIS housing units they currently rent. Under the new policy, the member’s monthly rent will now be treated as part of the amortization.
A major part of the program was an open forum where members and agency representatives raised questions on GSIS programs, loan policies, pension concerns and digital services, which were addressed directly by GSIS officials.
