The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has arrested eight Vietnamese nationals in Parañaque City for alleged involvement in online scam activities, overstaying, and unauthorized employment.
BI operatives raided a hotel unit along Roxas Boulevard, where they found Nguyen Phan Gia Khuong and seven other Vietnamese—seven men and one woman.
Initial findings showed Khuong had overstayed and was linked to scam activities targeting foreign victims. Authorities also recovered drug paraphernalia and bullets from another room in the building.
BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said the agency will not tolerate foreign nationals who exploit the country’s hospitality or endanger public safety.
The group was brought to the BI Warden Facility to undergo deportation proceedings.
