BANGKOK — Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is rallying the nation to support its three-man sim racing squad as they battle the region’s elite today at the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Asia eSports GT Championship 2025. A mix of fresh talent and veteran grit, leading the charge is 25-year-old National Champion Victor Ancheta from Baguio City. A newcomer to the scene, Ancheta’s remarkable consistency during the national finals vaulted him past seasoned rivals to the top of the podium. He is flanked by the team’s youngest yet most experienced member, 15-year-old Enzo Ison from Lubao, Pampanga. Entering with previous Asia Finals experience, Ison dominated the local qualifiers before securing second place in the national finals. Completing the roster is 23-year-old Matthew Ang from Makati City. A returning Asia Finals participant as well, Ang brings grit and regional experience to the squad. Having consistently placed on the podium in previous years, Ang maintained a strong pace throughout the season to clinch the third and final spot for Team Philippines.
Happening at the Toyota Alive Space in Bangkok, Thailand, the event will see Team Philippines—comprising Victor Ancheta, Enzo Ison, and Matthew Ang—defending the country’s pride on the virtual track.
