Family entertainment chain Timezone is projecting a double-digit revenue growth in 2026 after a year of consolidation in 2025, which saw performance weighed down by weather disruptions, seismic events and mall renovations.
“This year is fairly flat for us, but 2026 will be our true growth year. We plan to grow by double digits,” said Timezone Philippines president and general-manager Raffy Prats Jr. during the relaunch of Timezone Glorietta Friday.
Prats noted that several setbacks affected 2025 performance, including typhoons hitting key weekends, the Davao earthquake that forced temporary venue closures and major mall upgrades such as the Glorietta renovation. Despite these challenges, margins remained strong and the company is well-positioned for a growth surge next year.
December remains Timezone’s “most important month,” anchoring full-year revenues as holiday spending typically peaks from Dec. 15 until the first week of January, when families visit malls with increased disposable income. The company’s next strongest season is April to June, while non-peak months deliver around 30 to 35 percent lower revenues.
Timezone Group chief customer officer Caroline Leong said the Philippines has emerged as one of the region’s fastest-growing markets amid a strong culture of shared play and multigenerational family outings.
This year, Timezone opened about five major venues and several satellite sites, spurred by demand for affordable entertainment even amid inflation.
The company maintains its working model of branch expansions within malls, noting the Philippine market remains heavily mall-driven and is not comparable to land-rich countries like the US, where stand-alone mega setups are more common.
The recently relaunched Timezone Glorietta 4 is a perfect representation of the brand’s strategy. It has been expanded from 900 square meters to just under 1,400 square meters, equipped with over 120 games and attractions offering more immersive experiences alongside classics like billiards ClawTime and Music Zone.
The site was also upgraded with 2 party rooms that can accommodate 48 people.
