Netflix drops official teaser for Culinary Class Wars Season 2

The new season raises the stakes with the arrival of high-profile culinary masters, including Michelin two-star chef Lee Jun, Michelin-starred chef Son Jong Won, Korea’s first master of temple cuisine Venerable Sunjae, and Chinese cuisine specialist Hou Deok Juk.

“Culinary Class Wars” has quickly become one of Netflix’s biggest Korean unscripted titles. Since its debut in September last year, the show made history as the first Korean reality program to top the Global Top 10 TV (Non-English) chart for three consecutive weeks.

The first season featured a groundbreaking format in which 100 chefs were divided into two groups—20 celebrity chefs competing under their own names as the White Spoons, and 80 non-celebrity chefs using aliases as the Black Spoons. Kwon Seong-joon of the Black Spoons won the KRW 300 million (₱12.7 million) grand prize.

“Culinary Class Wars” Season 2 streams globally on Dec. 16 on Netflix.
