Jollibee’s income rose 8% in Q3 on higher sales

Fast-food giant Jollibee Foods Corp. grew its third-quarter net income to P3.034 billion, up 8 percent from the same period last year, on the back of double-digit revenue growth.

Systemwide sales rose 16.8 percent in the third quarter to P115.07 billion, supported by a 32.4 percent increase in sales from international business and 5.5 percent growth in domestic business, Jollibee said Friday in a disclosure to the stock exchange.

“Our third-quarter performance reflects the continued strength of our diversified brandfolio and disciplined execution across geographies. We remain focused on long-term value creation, expanding our global footprint and delivering consistent sustainable returns to our shareholders,” said Jollibee chief executive Ernesto Tanmantiong.

Jollibee said same-store sales growth (SSSG) improved across markets, which signifies operational resilience and strong brand equity. SSSG for the quarter stood at 3.1 percent, with average check and transaction count growth of 2.5 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively.

SSSG in the Philippines inched up by 1.2 percent amid steady consumer demand despite adverse weather conditions, while overseas SSSG stood at 6.3 percent.

China posted a strong 8 percent SSSG, fueled by continued expansion in delivery through new aggregator channels and improving dine-in performance.

North America-Asian Brands recorded 9.8 percent SSSG, while EMEAA (Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia) posted 10.7 percent, led by Jollibee Vietnam’s robust 25.5 percent increase.

Nine-month net income climbed 2.2 percent to P8.65 billion, reversing the decline recorded during the first half of the year.

Given the company’s first nine-month performance, Jollibee chief finance officer Richard Shin said the company remains on track to deliver double-digit top- and bottom-line growth.

“Equally, we are confident to continue the double-digit growth in 2026,” Shin said.

During the first nine months of the year, Jollibee opened 754 new stores, 583 of which were franchised.

As of the end of September, the fast-food giant operates 10,304 stores, of which 6,859 are overseas and 3,445 are in the Philippines.
