Bureau of Immigration agents arrested four Chinese nationals in two separate operations in Burgos, Ilocos Norte for violating immigration laws.
The BI identified the first two arrested individuals as Jiang Zhengwei and Chen Zhengji, who were apprehended at a restaurant in Barangay Bayog, Burgos.
Both were found to be working for companies other than their registered petitioning employer and had failed to report their transfer of residence, which are violations of Philippine immigration laws.
BI operatives later arrested two more Chinese nationals, identified as Li Shihan and Long Litao in Barangay Poblacion, Burgos, for similar offenses.
Both were found to be working for a company located in Ilocos Norte despite being petitioned by another firm based in Taguig City.
The four foreign nationals were taken into BI custody for booking, documentation, and verification procedures at the BI Warden Facility in Bicutan, Taguig City.
