Philippine Airlines (PAL) plans to increase its nonstop service between Manila and Los Angeles (LA) from 14 to 18 flights weekly starting June 2026.
The increase, led by continued growth in travel demand between Manila and the US West Coast, will see the route operate three times a day on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, up from the current twice-daily schedule using the Boeing 777 aircraft.
The expanded service aims to support the dynamic economic relationship between the Philippines and the US, while offering travelers seamless access to PAL’s extensive domestic and regional network across the Philippines and Asia.
Passengers flying to Los Angeles will also benefit from expanded connectivity to other parts of the United States through PAL’s airline partners.
“By increasing our capacity on this key route, we are opening doors for travelers to experience the world-class service and heartfelt hospitality unique to Philippine Airlines, while also supporting the dynamic economic relationship that drives opportunities between the Philippines and the US,” said PAL president Richard Nuttall. The move marks a significant step in PAL’s North American expansion, coinciding with other frequency boosts. The airline will increase its Manila-Seattle services from three to five times weekly beginning Nov. 25, 2025.
These additions bolster PAL’s daily flights to San Francisco and Guam, its thrice-weekly service to New York, and five-times weekly flights to Honolulu.
The increased flight frequencies to the US are also expected to boost cargo capacity by up to 60 tons per week across Manila, other parts of Asia and Los Angeles, with connections to different US states through airline and trucking partners.
Complementing the daily Manila-Guam service, PAL is launching thrice-weekly Cebu-Guam nonstop flights starting December 16, 2025. This establishes the only direct air link between the two destinations.
PAL’s fleet of Boeing, Airbus, and De Havilland aircraft operates scheduled nonstop flights out of hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao to 31 destinations in the Philippines and 38 destinations in Asia, North America, Australia and the Middle East.
