BPI, Robinsons Retail team up for free cash withdrawals in stores

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has teamed up with Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. (RRHI) to allow clients to withdraw cash for free at participating RRHI stores nationwide using the BPI mobile application.

The new service expands BPI’s network, integrating banking into the daily routines of Filipinos. Clients can generate a barcode using the BPI app and present it to the cashier at partner stores to complete a withdrawal.

The maximum withdrawal amount is P10,000 per transaction, with a daily limit of five transactions, although the bank said this may vary by brand.

As of the announcement, the expanded partner store services are available in 373 stores. Robinsons Supermarket Corp. was the first RRHI business unit to launch the service, including the following brands: Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Easymart, No Brand, The Marketplace and Shopwise.

The service was also recently enabled in pilot stores of Robinsons Department Store and Toys’R’Us.

BPI agency banking platforms management head Nelle Reyes said the bank aims to end 2025 with over 460 participating stores.

“That’s the kind of seamless experience we aim for and that’s what this partnership between BPI and Robinsons Retail is all about,” said BPI president and chief executive TG Limcaoco.

Limcaoco noted the convenience of withdrawing cash while grocery shopping or department store browsing.

RRHI food segment managing director Tin Tueres said the partnership makes banking accessible and a part of everyday life.
