Aboitiz Construction and Aboitiz Foundation, in partnership with Connected Women and the Barangay Bagong Pook local government, launched the Elevate AIDA (Artificial Intelligence Data Annotation) Program through a memorandum of agreement signing on October 21, 2025, in Malvar, Batangas.
The initiative supports the ongoing collaboration between Aboitiz Foundation and Connected Women to equip more Filipinas with digital skills, contributing to the larger goal of empowering 300,000 women nationwide.
Elevate AIDA is an online training program that provides women in underserved communities with competencies in digital literacy, financial empowerment, and AI data annotation – skills that open pathways to remote work and participation in the digital economy.
In Malvar, the program will train an initial batch of 50 women, with a model designed for replication in other communities.
“This collaboration reflects our vision of progress that is shared and empowering. By working with Aboitiz Construction and Barangay Bagong Pook, we are helping women become catalysts for sustainable growth,” said Aboitiz Foundation COO Mardi Mapa-Suplido.
Aboitiz Construction senior assistant vice president for business transformation Karmine Andrea Ching said the company believes technology can be a powerful equalizer by equipping women with globally relevant skills.
Graduation is scheduled for December, at which time participants are expected to have completed their training and become job-ready for AI data annotation work.
“This program empowers our women to gain new skills, build confidence, and take part in the digital economy. We look forward to more initiatives that uplift our community,” said Barangay chairperson Lilibeth Lat.
