Filipino touring car driver Red Diwa continued his impressive international campaign by scoring his second Cup Class victory in the 2025 TCR Asia Series, held at Inje Speedium in South Korea.
The achievement was made even more memorable as the event ran alongside the FIA TCR World Tour, bringing together a combined grid of 24 cars featuring some of the world’s top touring car racers.
Returning to the same 3.908 km circuit where he raced just a month earlier, Diwa came in well-prepared with valuable track experience at the wheel of the #21 Hyundai Elantra N TCR, fielded by Eurasia Motorsport.

Saturday’s qualifying session took place under wet conditions—similar to the previous round—where Diwa set a personal best lap time of 1:56.975. Despite the improvement, the highly competitive field placed him 21st on the grid for Race 1.
The rain stopped in time for Race 1, but a damp surface forced teams to make strategic tire choices. Diwa and his team opted for a mixed setup—slicks at the front and wets at the rear—a gamble shared by several competitors. He gained an early position and engaged in a tight duel with local driver Junesung Park for P20. However, the chosen strategy did not deliver the expected pace, and Diwa finished 21st overall and 3rd in the Cup Class.
On Sunday, conditions improved with a fully dry track. Starting again from P21, Diwa immediately gained a spot amid first-lap chaos and soon found himself in a close battle with teammate Wen-Yao Liang. A mid-race Safety Car bunched up the field, giving Diwa the opportunity to strike on the restart. He executed two clean overtakes to climb to 17th overall, 4th in TCR Asia, and 1st in the Cup Class, finishing ahead of Cup points leader Benny Santoso.

The result marked his second Cup Class win of the season and another highlight in his growing résumé.
Starting from P19 for the weekend finale, Diwa maintained steady pace and composure to bring home 19th overall and 2nd in the Cup Class, once again finishing behind Santoso.
With one round remaining, Diwa has now amassed four Cup Class podiums—including two wins—across three weekends, cementing his status as one of the standout privateer competitors in the TCR Asia paddock.
He is set to return for the season finale at the Zhuzhou International Circuit in China, from October 31 to November 2, aiming to close out his rookie international season on a high note.
Diwa’s 2025 campaign is proudly supported by Nanomoly and Toncars.
