Cavite Industrial taps Meralco unit for retail aggregation

First Cavite Industrial Estate Association Inc. (FCIE) has tapped MPower, the local retail electricity supplier of Manila Electric Company (Meralco), for the energization of its facilities and enrollment under the Retail Aggregation Program (RAP).

This move positions FCIE, a 150-hectare industrial park in Cavite, as one of the first mixed-use developments in the Philippines to join RAP, consolidating its multiple accounts into a single aggregated portfolio for optimized power sourcing and cost efficiency.

RAP is a key initiative of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) under the Customer Choice Program, which allows end-users within the same franchise area to combine their electricity demand and qualify as a single contestable customer.

This enables them to participate more competitively in the retail electricity market, gaining access to better pricing and flexible energy supply options.

“Our partnership with MPower marks a strategic step toward advancing sustainability and operational excellence in the industrial sector. It reflects FCIE’s steadfast vision to be a leading industrial estate with energy-efficient solutions and responsible practices that shape a resilient and future-ready economy. Together, we are building a legacy of innovation, impact, and sustainable growth,” said Micaela Laila Flores, FCIEAI president.

MPower, as an advocate of the ERC’s Customer Choice Program, supports qualified customers in accessing competitive energy solutions and managing electricity costs more effectively.

“FCIE’s participation in the RAP sets a new benchmark for energy collaboration in the Philippines. By consolidating demand and adopting more efficient power solutions, this partnership advances sustainable progress. MPower is proud to support this vision with reliable energy that empowers industries, strengthens communities, and fuels enduring value,” said Redel Domingo, MPower head, in a statement.

This partnership reflects a growing momentum among industrial and commercial developments to embrace retail competition as a pathway to cost-effective, transparent, and customer-centric energy management.

Through RAP, MPower continues to champion customer choice by delivering innovative energy solutions, competitive rates, and dependable service.

MPower has established itself as the preferred Local Retail Electricity Supplier, with more than 30 percent share of the competitive retail electricity market within Meralco’s franchise area.
