TYREPLUS opens first solar-powered outlet in the Philippines

TYREPLUS, one of the world’s largest car maintenance service centers, has launched its first Philippine outlet on Chino Roces Avenue in Makati City, featuring the brand’s first solar-powered store.

The flagship location marks the start of a major expansion plan aiming for 30 stores across the Philippines by 2028.

The new store reinforces the commitment of its parent company, Michelin, to sustainability and innovation in mobility solutions.

Strategically situated in a busy Metro Manila thoroughfare, TYREPLUS Chino Roces offers a comprehensive array of automotive and motorcycle care services, including a complimentary safety diagnostic check for all customers—a first-of-its-kind offering among similar outlets nationwide.

Michelin Philippines country director Jonathan Khong said the launch of TYREPLUS Chino Roces reflects the company’s ambition to provide accessible, reliable and sustainable vehicle care in the Philippines.

“By offering essential top-tier services, we are reimagining car care with a strong focus on safety and quality to ensure the best quality for our customers,” said Khong.

The store offers extensive services for passenger vehicles, such as tires and tire-related services (wheel alignment, balancing, rotation, etc.), oil changes, brake inspection and servicing, battery testing and replacement, suspension system services and vehicle accessories like windshield wipers. For motorcycles, services include tire fitting, balancing, and repair, oil changes, and brake and battery services, available in selected stores.

Tireserve Ventures Inc. president Thomerson Yao, franchisee of TYREPLUS Chino Roces, cited the unique selling proposition.

“What sets this outlet apart is our free vehicle safety diagnostic check,” Yao said.

“We want every customer, whether they’re getting a tire rotation or an oil change, to leave with peace of mind, knowing their vehicle has undergone a full safety check in line with Michelin’s international standards,” he said.

The new store, located at 2174 Chino Roces Ave, operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Sunday. The opening is the initial step in a roadmap that will prioritize expansion in Metro Manila, Metro Cebu and Metro Davao to establish 30 centers across the nation over the next four years.

The TYREPLUS Chino Roces outlet is equipped with solar panels to support the long-term vision of delivering sustainable mobility solutions while lowering emissions and operational impact. TYREPLUS maintains over 2,100 stores across 15 countries globally.
