In coordination with the PNP, involved LGUs, and key agencies, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) is reactivating their “Biyaheng Arangkada” Motorists Assistance Program to manage the expected surge in traffic across its expressways—including NLEX, SCTEX, CALAX, CAVITEX, NLEX Connector, and CCLEX—for the upcoming ‘Undas weekend’.
MPTC is deploying approximately 2,000 traffic, toll, and emergency personnel across its network, intensified with 24/7 traffic monitoring and quick-response teams. To facilitate smoother traffic flow, all non-emergency roadworks will be suspended from October 29 to November 3, with shoulder lanes in critical points regarded as potential counterflow sections.
A key service for motorists will be the provision of free towing for Class 1 and Class 1M vehicles (the latter specifically for CCLEX) to the nearest exit. This service will be available from 6:00 AM on October 30 to 6:00 AM on November 3. Travelers are strongly advised to plan trips outside of expected peak congestion times, which include the afternoons of October 29 and 30, the evening of October 31, the morning of November 1, the afternoon of November 2, and the morning to noon of November 3.
Motorists can access real-time traffic updates and assistance through the MPT DriveHub app. Complementing the effort, the MVP Group’s subsidiaries Maynilad and Smart Communications will offer free bottled water, Wi-Fi, and charging stations in select locations.
