Boutique carrier Sunlight Air has entered a new phase of growth with the unveiling of a refreshed company livery and the arrival of its first next-generation ATR 72-600 aircraft.

The redesigned livery features a refined logo with a radiant sun, representing the airline’s Filipino roots. Introduced under the tagline “Your Next Story,” the new look highlights Sunlight Air’s focus on customer-centered travel and service innovation.

The ATR 72-600 aircraft, a key part of the expansion, will allow the airline to operate from shorter runways, connecting smaller and remote island communities. The model is expected to boost tourism and provide easier access to underserved destinations across the country.

To support the upgrade, Sunlight Air announced a new route with four weekly flights to Siquijor, offering more convenient travel options to the island known as the “Island of Fire.”

The new aircraft features a boutique cabin layout with fewer seats than standard configurations, providing passengers with extra legroom and wider personal space. It also comes with quieter engines, modern avionics, and improved fuel efficiency for smoother and more sustainable operations.

The aircraft, registered as RP-C6388, arrived in the Philippines after a four-day delivery flight from Exeter, United Kingdom, with stopovers in Malta, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia.

Sunlight Air CEO Ryna Brito-Garcia said the new aircraft and branding reflect the company’s ongoing efforts to evolve with its passengers and support sustainable air travel across the Philippines.
