When the spotlight hit the stage at Pasay’s welcome gala, it wasn’t just about golf—it was about Filipino pride, passion, and hospitality taking center stage.
BingoPlus, the country’s leading digital entertainment platform, rolled out the red carpet for the International Series Philippines, setting the tone for an unforgettable week that seamlessly blended world-class sport with cultural celebration.
The celebration began with a spirited press conference and gala night, attended by an impressive lineup of media, influencers, executives, and VIP guests. Onstage, the event’s driving forces shared one vision: to make the Philippines a global hub for top-tier golf.

Among the key figures were Jasper Vicencio, President of AB Leisure Exponent Inc.; Rahul Singh, Head of the International Series; and Cho Minn Thant, Commissioner and CEO of the Asian Tour. They were joined by a stellar cast of professional golfers—John Catlin, Marc Leishman, Taichi Kho, and Peter Uihlein—each representing the high-caliber competition that defines the International Series.
As the evening unfolded, guests were treated to a visual feast celebrating Filipino artistry and identity. Cultural dancers brought the country’s vibrant heritage to life, followed by a contemporary Filipiniana fashion show led by Miss Universe Philippines queens, showcasing the perfect harmony of tradition and modernity. Adding to the star power, golf icons Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed graced the gala, delighting fans in an exclusive meet-and-greet that bridged the gap between global champions and local supporters.
In his opening remarks, Eusebio H. Tanco, Chairman of DigiPlus, underscored the company’s commitment to elevating Philippine sports through partnerships that matter.

FILIPINO EXPERIENCE
“We are bringing exquisite, quality, and high-level golf experiences closer to Filipinos,” he said.
Tanco also announced major pledges of support: a $100,000 donation to the Asian Tour for golf development and an additional $50,000 to the National Golf Association of the Philippines to promote the sport nationwide.
These acts of generosity were further formalized during the pledge of commitment ceremony to the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), symbolizing BingoPlus’ ongoing advocacy to uplift local athletes and nurture the next generation of champions.
A heartfelt welcome toast followed, led by top leaders including Tommy Hu (CEO, DigiPlus), Rahul Singh, Cho Minn Thant, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, PSC Chairman Patrick C. Gregorio, and PAGCOR Chairman Alejandro H. Tengco—a powerful gathering that reflected unity between sport, government, and private enterprise.

During an exclusive interview session, International Series stars Patrick Reed, Charl Schwartzel, and Dustin Johnson shared their excitement to compete on Philippine soil. They praised the local fans’ passion and BingoPlus’ warm hospitality, calling the Philippines one of the most spirited stops on tour.
“The energy here is unmatched,” said Reed. “You can feel the pride and support everywhere you go.”
The festivities didn’t stop there. On October 25, fans flocked to the Aseana City Open Grounds for a major music festival headlined by Alan Walker and Apl.de.Ap, bringing together golf enthusiasts and music lovers in one massive celebration of sport and culture.
As the night drew to a close, Tommy Hu presented tokens of appreciation to Rahul Singh and Cho Minn Thant, marking the culmination of a week that proved more than a sporting milestone—it was a cultural statement.
The International Series Philippines presented by BingoPlus isn’t just about golf. It’s about bringing people together, honoring Filipino excellence, and inspiring a new generation to swing for their dreams.
