GAC made a powerful statement on its commitment to the local EV market at the 13th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS) 2025, unveiling three highly anticipated electric models and outlining a bold localization strategy for Southeast Asia.
Under the banner of “GAC Global Ecosystem — Leading a New Era of Green Mobility in the Philippines,” GAC officially launched two all-new Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), the family-oriented AION V and the luxurious flagship HYPTEC HT. The company also gave the Philippine public its first look at the AION UT, a youth-focused global strategic model that has already seen success in neighboring Thailand. These launches are part of GAC’s strategy to accelerate its EV rollout in Southeast Asia and reaffirm its long-term presence in the region.
The newly launched AION V is positioned as a high-quality, long-range BEV SUV designed for urban families and professionals. It is equipped with GAC’s proprietary Magazine Battery 2.0, which boasts fireproof technology even under direct impact, offering a CLTC-rated range of 520 km. Practicality is a key feature, with the AION V capable of charging from 30% to 80% in a mere 16 minutes via DC fast charging.

Elevating the electric experience, the flagship HYPTEC HT electric SUV redefines luxury and intelligent technology. It is designed for the premium user, featuring standout elements such as dual-stage electric gullwing doors, Nappa leather interiors, and reclining rear seats. The cockpit boasts a 14.6-inch HD infotainment display powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8155 chip, while advanced safety is guaranteed by its submarine-grade steel body.
GAC’s EV showcase at PEVS wasn’t limited to all-electric models; it also featured the luxurious M8 PHEV plug-in hybrid MPV and the intelligent EMKOO HEV hybrid SUV.
