The Ayala Group’s end-to-end mobility arm, ACMobility, and Basic Energy Renewable Corp. (BERC) have teamed up to accelerate the rollout of renewable-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the Philippines, Basic Energy said in a stock exchange disclosure on Thursday.
The partnership aims to combine ACMobility’s expertise in charging infrastructure and digital mobility with BERC’s renewable energy capabilities to create a reliable and sustainable charging network for Filipino EV drivers.
Under the agreement, ACMobility will co-develop and manage charging hubs in select locations developed by BERC, including select Total-branded retail stations.
“This partnership reflects our shared vision of a future where EV charging is not just available, but reliable, seamless, and powered by clean energy,” said ACMobility head of mobility infrastructure Carla Buencamino.
The collaboration builds on Basic Energy’s renewable energy roadmap, which includes solar, wind, geothermal and energy storage projects.
Basic Energy chief executive Oscar de Venecia Jr. said the partnership with ACMobility signifies the company’s strong commitment to advancing clean energy and sustainable transport.
“Together, we aim to make EV charging more accessible, convenient, and powered by renewable energy — enabling Filipino motorists to take part in the journey toward a greener future,” de Venecia said.
All charging stations developed under the partnership will connect to Evro, ACMobility’s all-in-one charging app.
The rollout will begin with the installation of co-branded Basic RePower–ACMobility charging facilities at the Total station along South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) Northbound in Santa Rosa, Laguna. The pilot site will serve as a foundation for future installations.
ACMobility, a leading provider of EV charging solutions, operates multiple charging hubs across Luzon and is expanding to Visayas and Mindanao.
The company aims to have 700 charge points nationwide by the end of 2025, forming the backbone of the Philippine EV Spine Network, which connects cities and provinces from Pagudpud in the north to Pagadian in the south.
BERC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Basic Energy that focuses on developing renewable energy and e-mobility infrastructure.
