On their first day, the newly-appointed trustees were briefed on GSIS programs and policies. Later that day, Sadsad joined Veloso and GSIS trustee Beatriz Torno, a former education official who represents retired government workers, in a dialogue with the Teachers’ Dignity Coalition (TDC) to listen to the concerns and suggestions of educators.

Veloso said the appointments usher in a new phase of teamwork and stability within the organization. “We are moving forward as one team, united by our mission to safeguard the fund and deliver Ginhawa for All,” he said.

The GSIS leadership reaffirmed its focus on ensuring financial stability, responsive service and sustainable growth for its 2.7 million members and pensioners nationwide.
