SB19 sweeps major honors at inaugural Filipino Music Awards

P-pop powerhouse SB19 emerged as the biggest winner at the first-ever Filipino Music Awards (FMA), cementing their status as one of the country’s most celebrated acts.

Held before a star-studded crowd, the event gathered top OPM artists, including BINI, Ben&Ben, Cup of Joe, IV of Spades, KZ Tandingan, TJ Monterde, and Morissette. Hosted by Joey Mead-King, the awards recognized excellence across multiple genres and categories.

SB19 bagged six major awards, including Artist of the Year, People’s Choice Artist, People’s Choice Song for “Dungka!”, Pop Song of the Year, Concert of the Year, and Tour of the Year for Simula at Wakas.

Other big winners included Cup of Joe, who took home Album of the Year for Silakbo and Song of the Year for Multo, and music icons Jose Mari Chan and Pilita Corrales, who received the Lifetime Achievement and Tribute Awards, respectively.

The night featured electrifying performances from Ely Buendia, Yeng Constantino, Gloc-9, BGYO, BINI, and SB19, closing the show with a celebration of OPM’s evolving sound and global reach.
