Fiber broadband and technology provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is enriching its Xperience Hub set-top box with original Filipino content through a partnership with entertainment powerhouse Viva Communications Inc. to elevate the home viewing experience for its nearly three million subscribers.
The collaboration, which also involves Reliance Broadcasting Unlimited (RBU), will make hundreds of original Filipino programs available on the Converge Xperience Hub soon, including local teleseryes, exclusive movies and specials.
“With our ambition to go beyond connectivity, we are packing more functions and content into the Converge Xperience Hub, and one of the most important steps to achieve this is partnering with production companies that truly understand what Filipinos want,” said Converge chief executive and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy.
The joint announcement and signing ceremony were held Monday at the sidelines of the 51st Philippine Business Conference and Expo, which Uy chairs. Attendees included Converge and RBU executives, as well as Viva Communications Inc. president and chief operating officer Vincent del Rosario and Studio viva president Valerie Del Rosario.
