President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has issued five proclamations declaring special non-working holidays in five localities nationwide this November to allow residents to participate in their respective founding anniversaries and local festivities.
Under Proclamation Nos. 1064 to 1068, Mr. Marcos approved the holidays for communities in Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet, Cavite, La Union, and Nueva Ecija.
Proclamation No. 1064 designates November 20 as a special non-working holiday in Dupax del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya, in celebration of the municipality’s founding anniversary.
In Benguet, November 22 will be a special non-working holiday in Itogon under Proclamation No. 1065, marking the town’s 125th founding anniversary.
Meanwhile, Proclamation No. 1066 declares November 26 a special non-working holiday in Dasmariñas City, Cavite also for its founding anniversary.
Proclamation No. 1067 sets November 27 as a special non-working holiday in Burgos, La Union, in observance of the municipality’s 100th founding anniversary.
Lastly, Proclamation No. 1068 declares November 20 a special non-working holiday in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija, for the annual festival of thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest.
The proclamations stated that declaring the holidays is “fitting and proper” to give residents the full opportunity to participate in and enjoy the celebrations.
