Malvar, Batangas — October 5, 2025. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) marked its anniversary with a thrilling horse racing event at the Metro Turf in Malvar, Batangas, where Batang Manda galloped to victory in an electrifying finish, clocking in at 1:58 minutes in the 1,800-meter race.
Owned by Benjamin Abalos, Jr., with jockey Pat Dilema and trainer Claudio Angeles, Batang Manda showcased speed and stamina that captured the excitement of the crowd. The winning team swept the awards, earning recognition as Best Owner, Winning Jockey, and Best Trainer, respectively.

Aside from the trophies presented to the winners, PCSO reaffirmed its commitment to support the horse racing industry with guaranteed cash prizes amounting to ₱2 million. The prize breakdown includes ₱1.2 million for the champion Batang Manda, ₱450,000 for second-place finisher Worshipful Master, ₱250,000 for third-place Mastery, and ₱100,000 for fourth-place Boss Ako Naman.

The 2025 PCSO Anniversary Race not only celebrated the spirit of competition but also underscored the agency’s dedication to promoting local sports and entertainment while generating funds for its charity programs.

Horse racing enthusiasts can look forward to the next major event on October 12, 2025, featuring the 1,200-meter 2-Year-Old Maiden Stakes Race, where new contenders are expected to vie for glory on the Metro Turf track.
