Tropical storm ‘Ramil’ has left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) and all wind signals were officially lifted on Monday morning.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), ‘Ramil’ has been moving northwestward at 25 kilometers per hour (kph) about 440 kilometers west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur outside the PAR as of 11:00 a.m.
It further intensified upon exit with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 105 kph.
The tropical storm drenched several parts of Luzon and Visayas over the weekend, leaving at least seven people dead and two missing, according to official reports.
It unleashed heavy rains that prompted several families to seek temporary shelters elsewhere amid serious flooding in affected villages.
