The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) is transforming its flagship annual event, the 51st Philippine Business Conference and Expo (PBC&E), into an interactive, technology-driven platform aimed at accelerating the nation’s digital future.
Set for Oct. 20 to 21 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, the conference carries the theme “The Future is Now: Unleash the Power of Digital Transformation.” It will depart from the traditional summit format, evolving into an immersive experience that blends policy discussions with live demonstrations of cutting-edge technologies.
The move comes as the Philippines struggles to improve its global digital competitiveness ranking, currently at 61st out of 67 economies in the 2024 IMD World Digital Competitiveness Report.
PCCI president Enunina Mangio said this year’s conference would serve as a “strategic launchpad” for businesses seeking to navigate the fast-changing digital landscape.
“It’s more than discussion; it’s an immersive, hands-on technology showcase designed to equip every Filipino business with the insights and connections necessary to future-proof their operations and ensure no one is left behind,” Mangio said.
