MPTC gathers industry leaders to chart safer, smarter transport future

The Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) hosted its 4th Transport Conference at Okada Manila, convening transport leaders, government officials, and industry experts under the theme “Co-Pilots: Navigating a Safer, Smarter & More Sustainable Future in Transportation.” The annual event, which included representatives from major trucking, bus, jeepney, and UV Express organizations, focused on strengthening public-private partnerships to advance Philippine mobility. Department of Transportation (DOTr) Acting Secretary Atty. Giovanni Z. Lopez delivered the keynote address, calling for unified efforts to accelerate the sector’s modernization. Panel discussions centered on critical topics including road safety, the integration of digital systems, driver education, and future tollway infrastructure. The conference successfully fostered stronger connections among key players, laying the foundation for future initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, sustainability, and innovation within the Philippine transport ecosystem.
