Carmen’s Best expands dairy operations to Mindanao

Metro Pacific Agro Ventures Inc.’s (MPAV) artisanal ice cream brand, Carmen’s Best, is strengthening its nationwide presence with the opening of a new dairy facility in Maramag, Bukidnon, Mindanao.

THE expansion, which adds to its farms and an ice cream plant in Laguna, increases the brand’s reach across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

The newly-acquired Bukidnon facility is home to 220 milking cows, providing fresh milk to the southern region and giving Carmen’s Best one of the largest dairy herds in the Philippines.

This supports a wider distribution of the brand’s expanding range of fresh, high-quality dairy products, which are all crafted from locally-sourced milk.

“Now that we’ve expanded to Visayas and Mindanao, we’re excited to offer more customers not just our ice cream, but also our new milk and cheese products – all proudly made with 100-percent fresh cow’s milk,” said MPAV and Carmen’s Best president and chief executive Jovy Hernandez.

Carmen’s Best began its nationwide rollout in March 2025 through retail partnerships with SM Hypermarket, Robinsons Supermarket, Metro Paisano, Puregold and The Marketplace.

Customers in Cebu, Davao, Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro can now look forward to more accessible products. The brand also plans to launch scooping stations in Cebu soon and will be available in restaurants, hotels, resorts, events and festivals.

Earlier this year, the brand launched Carmen’s Best Milk, made with 100-percent cow’s milk, which comes in whole milk, low-fat milk, low-fat chocolate milk, barista fresh milk and the latest salted caramel milk variants.

The brand will soon launch its cheese line-up to complement its dairy offerings.
