Globe Telecom Inc. has activated new cell sites and upgraded existing facilities in Lipa and ten surrounding municipalities in Batangas province to address the growing demand for fast and reliable connectivity, the company said Thursday.
The telecommunications company’s network expansion included new cell sites in Lipa’s Barangays Tambo (Bloomfields Subdivision) and Bulacnin. Facility upgrades were also completed in Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balete, Calatagan, Laurel, Mabini, San Juan, San Pascual, Taal and Talisay.
“These builds are part of our ongoing efforts to bring reliable and accessible connectivity to more communities,” said Globe Group senior vice president and head of network planning and engineering Joel Agustin.
“Batangas is home to both traditional industries and modern enterprises, and we want to ensure residents and businesses here are supported with the digital tools they need to succeed,” he said.
The improved network is already benefiting various sectors in the province. Farmers and cooperatives have gained better access to mobile banking, digital marketplaces and logistics platforms, which in turn improves their operations. Darwin G. Amojelar
