Robert Racasa, the Philippines’ leading memory athlete and founder of the Philippine Memory Sports community, will represent the country at the 2025 World Memory Championships in Mumbai, India, from Nov. 7 to 9.
Racasa, known as the “Father of Philippine Memory Sports,” has represented the Philippines in numerous international competitions and has mentored several of the country’s top memory athletes.
“This isn’t just about competition,” Racasa said. “It’s about showing the world that Filipinos can excel in disciplines that require mental discipline, focus, and creativity.”
Organized by the International Association of Memory (IAM), the annual World Memory Championships brings together top mental athletes to compete in ten disciplines, including names and faces, random numbers, playing cards, and speed memorization.
Racasa said his goal is to earn the prestigious Grandmaster of Memory title and continue promoting mental literacy and cognitive training in the Philippines.
The 2025 event in Mumbai is expected to attract elite memory athletes from around the world.
