The Singapore-based BLAST Slam IV, featuring a $1 million prize pool, is set to become one of the first major Dota 2 tournaments following The International 2025 Grand Finals. With multiple roster reshuffles expected during the post-TI period, BLAST Slam IV will provide the first real look at the new competitive landscape of the upcoming season. The packed autumn Dota 2 schedule has forced the BLAST Slam IV organizers to adjust the tournament dates. Initially, the group stage was planned for October 28 – November 2, followed by the playoffs from November 7 – 9. However, the group stage has now been moved online and rescheduled to October 14 – 19.
As a result, there will be almost a three-week break between the group and final stages (October 19 – November 7), during which teams will have the chance to participate in FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 (October 23 – November 2).
The group stage will feature a packed schedule – all 12 teams will play one match against every opponent. The top two teams will advance directly to the semifinals, while those placed 3rd–8th will enter the Play-In stage, and the 9th–12th will compete in the Last Chance Playoff.
All Play-In and Last Chance matches will be best-of-three elimination series, with four spots in the playoffs up for grabs. The final stage will follow a traditional single-elimination format, culminating in a best-of-five Grand Final.
The tournament organizer, BLAST, has sent direct invitations to eight top-tier teams: Team Liquid, Team Falcons, PARIVISION, Tundra Esports, Team Spirit, BetBoom Team, HEROIC, and Talon Esports. Talon Esports were invited as the representative of the host region, while BetBoom Team received the final invite in late September.
Four additional teams earned their spots through regional qualifiers: NAVI and Aurora Gaming advanced from the European qualifiers after defeating AVULUS, OG, Yellow Submarine, and others; Yakult Brothers emerged victorious in China, defeating Tearlaments; and Team Aureus advanced through the lower bracket in the Southeast Asia qualifiers, overcoming Team Nemesis, BOOM Esports, and Execration.
Many rosters are still undergoing reshuffles, so the final lineups will be confirmed only at the start of the tournament. Follow all the latest updates and results of BLAST Slam IV on 1xBet.
The event will feature four of the top five teams from The International 2025 (with only Xtreme Gaming missing). Out of the 12 participants, 10 teams competed at Dota 2’s biggest event of the year.
Let’s take a look at the top three contenders for the BLAST Slam IV title. Team Falcons – the reigning TI 2025 champions are in peak form and will aim to reaffirm their dominance, especially with Xtreme Gaming absent. PARIVISION – led by rising star Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov, the team is eager for revenge against Falcons, who denied them a spot in the TI 2025 Grand Final. Team Spirit – despite being the heavy favorites at TI 2025, the team suffered a disappointing early exit. However, the EWC 2025 champions retained their core roster and could make a strong comeback in Singapore.
Among the dark horses, BetBoom Team and Aurora Gaming stand out as strong contenders. The defending BLAST Slam III champions, Tundra Esports, are unlikely to retain their title following the departure of Crystallis and Saksa. Meanwhile, the local favorites Talon Esports face uncertainty after recent controversies involving 23savage and the departure of Ws, leaving them with only three active players. With Q and Oli joining just days ago, the team’s participation in the event remains in doubt.
