Manila Mayor Francisco Moreno Domagoso delivered on Wednesday his 100-day accomplishment report to the public in his first City Development Council Meeting.
Among his top achievements are the restoration of fiscal order and an increase in the crime solution efficiency rate in his bid to “Make Manila Great Again.”
In his report, Domagoso said reopening the Electronic Business One-Stop Shop (E-BOSS) and cutting paperwork were instrumental in tighter fiscal management and visible street-level governance.
“More collections. Less expenses… In all of this, we have shown consistency and commitment,” he said in Filipino.
Domagoso also recognized the efforts of the Manila Police District (MPD), crediting the improvement to the city’s intensified campaign for law and order.
“That is why the crime solution efficiency of the Manila Police District increased by 9.2%. This means that we are catching more perpetrators of crime now compared to previous months,” he shared.
Domagoso noted that safety, order, and cleanliness are the foundations of investor and citizen confidence.
Last week, the city government, in partnership with San Miguel Corporation, completed 1,162 high-powered LED tunnel lights along Osmeña Highway.
Meanwhile, the local government is also strengthening its disaster preparedness and “business continuity and resiliency” in anticipation of “The Big One” as Domagoso ordered the conduct of a city-wide, simultaneous earthquake drill across 896 barangays.
The simulation will cover three major scenarios, including earthquake, tsunami, and flood, scheduled at different times of the day to test readiness under varying conditions.
