Inchcape Philippines, the exclusive distributor of Changan, officially introduced the Nevo A05 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) sedan months after its preview earlier this year at the Manila International Auto Show in April.
The A05 represents Changan’s transition toward a diverse, electrified portfolio and carries the brand’s 101 logo, which signifies its mid-range electric vehicle line focused on being simple, intelligent, and futuristic. It is available at an SRP of P1,195,000 with four colors to choose from: White, Cloud Mountain Green, Andes Gray, and Titanium Light Silver Gray. As an introductory offer valid until the end of October 2025, a special cash savings discount of P55,000 is available.
Powering the Changan Nevo A05 is a 1.5L BlueCore Gasoline Engine paired with a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). This combination delivers a strong output of 212 hp and 330 Nm of torque. The A05 offers drivers flexibility with multiple EV powertrain modes—BEV, PHEV, or REEV—along with standard driving modes (Eco, Normal, Sport, and Custom).
A key feature of the sedan is its class-leading 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. This large battery pack enables an impressive 130 km range in full EV mode, the highest pure electric vehicle range in its class. Its comprehensive range extends to an estimated 1,250 km on a full tank and charge.
The exterior of the A05 features sharp, sophisticated lines for a classic and sporty look. Notable exterior features include Automatic LED Headlights and Taillights, LED Daytime Running Lights, and 17-inch Alloy Wheels. An added smart feature is the Follow-Me-Home Function, which keeps the headlamps on briefly to illuminate the driver’s path after the engine is off.
Inside, the cabin is designed with a minimalist yet sleek aesthetic using premium materials. Functionality is prioritized with a Keyless Entry and Start System, a 10-inch full-color TFT LCD Display, and air conditioning with a PM 2.5 Grade Filter. For entertainment and connectivity, the sedan boasts a 13.2-inch touchscreen display audio with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected to a 6-speaker audio system. Passenger comfort is enhanced by a Moonroof, Rear Air Vents, and a 6-way electric adjustable driver seat.
Standard safety features for the A05 include ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Hold Control (HHC), and a comprehensive set of airbags, including front, side, and safety air curtains.
Going beyond the standard, the A05 also incorporates advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS). These include a 540° Virtual View Camera System with 360° Recording, Integrated Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).
