A legacy by the sea

A new icon of coastal hospitality has risen in Calatagan, Batangas, where resort-style leisure meets sustainable living.

The Nautilus at CaSoBe (Calatagan South Beach), a 10-story beachfront condotel by Landco Pacific Corporation, has achieved Preliminary EDGE Advanced Certification, becoming the first residential and commercial beachfront condominium development in the Philippines to receive the international recognition.

Set within the 15-hectare CaSoBe estate, just two to three hours from Metro Manila, The Nautilus offers 171 residential units and five commercial spaces. It combines hotel comforts with the exclusivity of seaside living, with every unit designed to maximize views of Batangas Bay, Miami South Street, or Aquaria Water Park. Each residence features open balconies, 2.8-meter ceilings, and select energy-efficient appliances.

The Nautilus’ hospitality amenities echo the experience of a luxury cruise ship anchored by the coastline. These include The Captain’s Table for casual dining, The Chamber conference room, The Abyss spa, Nemo’s Grove on the ground floor, and The Engine Room gym with panoramic views of the sea. Leisure continues with Nemo’s Den and Sanctuary for relaxation, The Arcade billiard hall, Captain’s Hideout bar, and the Horizon Pool Deck with its double-deck infinity pool.

Residents and guests enjoy sweeping views of Batangas Bay from The Observatory deck

On the 11th level, The Observatory offers sweeping views of Batangas Bay and the CaSoBe estate, while Celestial Cuisine serves comfort food in a modern Bohemian-inspired setting. Concierge services, RFID-enabled elevators, standby power, CCTV, Wi-Fi in select common areas, and an on-site clinic provide the conveniences of a modern hotel.

Surrounding The Nautilus, residents enjoy access to Aquaria Water Park, Crusoe Cabins, Cocoons, the Chairman’s Cabin, and the CaSoBe Lighthouse—making the estate a hub for weekend escapes, family holidays, and digital workcations.

The Nautilus at CaSoBe has received Preliminary EDGE Advanced Certification from the International Finance Corporation’s Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies program, recognizing buildings that cut energy, water, and materials use by at least 20 percent. The project is expected to exceed these benchmarks with 43 percent energy savings, 37 percent water savings, and a 38 percent cut in embodied energy in materials.

According to the Philippine Green Building Initiative, these savings equal enough power for 10 Filipino households for a year.

PGBI chairman Engr. Leandro A. Conti said the recognition shows that “sustainable design and aspirational living are not opposing ideals, but powerful partners in shaping resilient communities.”

Green features include rooftop solar panels, water-efficient plumbing, EV charging stations, natural ventilation, and recycled materials.

Landco Pacific president and CEO Erickson Y. Manzano said the project reflects the company’s belief that “true luxury is purposeful, where every moment of beauty comes with a responsibility to tread lightly on our planet.”

Master-planned by Singapore’s Pomeroy Studio and designed by Visionarch, The Nautilus takes inspiration from Jules Verne’s submarine, combining striking design with sustainable living. Managed by Landco Lifestyle Ventures, it offers flexible ownership for investors seeking both rental income and long-term value in a sustainable seaside property.
