ACMobility, the mobility arm of the Ayala Group, announced Thursday it will end its distribution and dealership operations for Honda vehicles in the Philippines by Jan. 1, 2026 as part of a strategy to optimize its portfolio and focus on new growth areas.
The company, which has worked with Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) for 35 years, operates nine Honda dealerships through Iconic Dealership Inc. (IDI). These dealerships will be turned over to new principals who will continue to support Honda’s expansion in the country, ACMobility said in a joint announcement with HCPI.
“We are grateful, and indeed proud, to have been part of Honda’s journey in the Philippines for the past three and a half decades. This transition reflects our ongoing effort to optimize our portfolio and focus on new growth areas,” said ACMobility chief executive Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala.
He said these new growth areas include initiatives in advancing sustainable mobility and electrification, where the company will “continue to build solutions that benefit communities, businesses, and the environment.”
ACMobility said it would begin turning over management and operations of its dealerships—Honda Cars Makati, Honda Cars Pasig, Honda Cars Shaw, Honda Cars Bacoor, Honda Cars Cebu, Honda Cars Mandaue, Honda Cars Iloilo, Honda Cars Negros and Honda Cars Cagayan de Oro—to new dealer principals toward the end of this year.
The company assured customers that the transition would be seamless, with new dealer principals equally committed to delivering an outstanding customer experience. Full sales and after-sales services will remain available at all locations under the new dealers, with Honda’s teams ready to assist.
ACMobility’s exit from Honda follows its earlier withdrawal from the Volkswagen and Maxus distribution businesses, streamlining its portfolio.
After the transition, ACMobility’s portfolio will include distribution of BYD and Kia vehicles, dealership operations for Isuzu, BYD and Kia, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and Bosch Car Service operations.
The partnership between ACMobility and HCPI began in 1990 with the opening of Honda Cars Makati. ACMobility has since grown to become Honda’s largest dealer group in the Philippines, having sold more than 220,000 vehicles as of August 2025.
