The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has deployed a disaster response team to Benguet to assist in clearing roads affected by Super Typhoon Nando.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Air Force said Tactical Operations Group 1 under the Tactical Operations Wing Northern Luzon deployed seven enlisted personnel along with a KM-450 vehicle and search-and-rescue equipment.
The team was dispatched to Marcos Highway in Barangay Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet, to conduct road-clearing operations in coordination with the Office of Civil Defense–Cordillera Administrative Region.
The PAF assured that it remains committed to working with government partners to deliver timely disaster response and ensure the safety of communities affected by the storm.
“The Philippine Air Force reaffirms its commitment to delivering timely and effective disaster response in close coordination with other agency partners to ensure the safety and welfare of communities affected by the tropical storm,” PAF spokesperson Col. Ma. Christina Basco said.
