#WalangPasok: ‘Nando’ onslaught keeps students at home

Strong winds and heavy rains attributed to the effects of Super Typhoon ‘Nando’ (Ragasa) and the enhanced southwest monsoon or ‘habagat’ extended class suspensions for Tuesday, September 23, as announced by Malacañang and several local government units (LGUs).

As of 7:00 p.m. on Monday, onsite classes at all education levels in both public and private schools—unless indicated otherwise—remain suspended in the following locations to ensure public safety amid risks of flooding and other environmental hazards:

  • Abra
  • Apayao

ILOCOS REGION

  • Ilocos Norte – including work in government offices
  • Ilocos Sur – including work in government offices
  • La Union
  • San Juan, Pangasinan – no onsite classes
  • Basista, Pangasinan – shift to modular learning
  • Mapandan, Pangasinan

CAGAYAN VALLEY

  • Batanes
  • Cagayan

CENTRAL LUZON

  • Santa Maria, Bulacan

CALABARZON

  • Batangas (Lobo, San Jose, Taysan, Sto. Tomas, Cuenca, Tuy)
