P-pop group SB19 has underscored their message of solidarity with Filipinos ahead of nationwide rallies set for Sunday, Sept. 21.
On X, the group shared a 34-second clip of themselves singing along with “Kapangyarihan,” their 2021 collaboration with Ben&Ben. The track, which appeared on Ben&Ben’s “Pebble House, Vol. 1: Kuwaderno” album, was also used as the theme of the GMA drama “Pulang Araw.”
The video featured the words “nagsisilbi ka dapat,” a line from the song that points to public service.
“Ang tao, ang bayan, ang tunay na kapangyarihan,” the caption read.
By singing along with their own recording, the group highlighted the song’s message on people power and accountability.
Member Josh Cullen also posted a separate clip with Pablo, where both were seen singing the track.
The posts come as various groups prepare to gather following congressional hearings into alleged corruption in flood control projects. Two major protests are scheduled in Metro Manila on Sunday—one at Luneta at 9:00 a.m. and another at the EDSA People Power Monument at 2:00 p.m.
