CATL, a leader in new energy technologies, will provide the battery technology for the project, while SUMEC will handle the project’s execution.

MGEN said the project would enhance grid stability and support the Philippines’ energy transition.

Construction and installation will begin in September 2025. The first phase, delivering an initial 25 MW, is targeted for completion by the second quarter of 2026. The remaining 24 MW of capacity is expected to be completed in 2027, pending regulatory clearances.
