Aboitiz Construction is marking the first anniversary of its three-year service agreement with Aboitiz Renewables Inc.’s (ARI) geothermal arm, AP Renewables Inc. (APRI), for the MakBan Geothermal Power Plant.
The contract, which began in September 2024, includes routine and outage maintenance services. This work covers mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and condition monitoring at the plant, which is located in Laguna and Batangas.
Aboitiz Construction executive director Antonio Penalver said the milestone “reflects not only our technical expertise but also our commitment to execution excellence and teamwork—values that drive us in every project we take on.”
The company also provides maintenance for APRI’s Tiwi Geothermal Power Plant in Albay, including building upkeep, heavy equipment preventive maintenance and leasing services.
Through its maintenance business, Aboitiz Construction supports multiple industries, including providing solutions for coal, oil and liquefied natural gas facilities.
“Partnerships like this strengthen our role in supporting the country’s energy and infrastructure needs,” said Penalver.
He said the milestone also coincides with Aboitiz Construction’s 50th anniversary.
