Tarlac Meatmasters, the modern meat processing facility of Pilmico Animal Nutrition Corporation (Pilmico), has become the first in the Philippines to secure Triple A (AAA) accreditation in three categories from the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS).
Its Cold Storage Warehouse was upgraded to AAA on August 19, 2025, adding to earlier top ratings for its Slaughterhouse (2021) and Meat Cutting Plant (2023). This makes Tarlac Meatmasters the only facility nationwide with AAA status across all three categories.
The AAA license, aligned with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) protocols, certifies compliance with strict international food safety standards, enabling products to serve both local and global markets.
“We take great pride in this milestone, which reflects our team’s dedication to quality and food safety. As the first facility in the country to earn this distinction, we remain committed to excellence and raising industry standards,” said Aboitiz Foods first vice president for the meat division Hendel Cabral.
Since opening in 2020, Tarlac Meatmasters has invested in advanced processing technologies and earned six HACCP certifications, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s most modern meat hubs and a vital link in Aboitiz Foods’ mill-to-meal value chain.
