PLDT Home’s revenue rose 4% in first half of 2025 on fiber growth

PLDT Home, the consumer broadband arm of Philippine telecommunications company PLDT Inc., said Friday its revenues grew 4 percent in the first half of 2025 from a year ago on strong performance from its fiber business.

The unit reported P30.4 billion pesos in revenue in the first half, with fiber-only revenue rising 7 percent year-on-year to P29.5 billion. Fiber accounted for 97 percent of the company’s home revenues.

PLDT Home added 169,000 new fiber subscribers in the first half, a threefold increase from the same period last year, bringing its total fiber connections to 3.53 million.

“Our growth reflects the increasing demand for high-speed connectivity and value-rich digital experiences,” said John Palanca, senior vice president and head of PLDT Home Business.

The company’s average revenue per user (ARPU) remained strong at P1,485, with more than 80 percent of new customers opting for higher-value plans. The telco also reported a churn rate of 1.93 percent.

PLDT also highlighted its prepaid fiber service, which it said was gaining traction without cannibalizing its postpaid base.

The PLDT Group’s total fiber footprint spans around 1.2 million cable kilometers, with homes passed reaching 19.01 million across 74 percent of the country’s towns and 91 percent of its provinces.
