The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has temporarily suspended its uniform policy for employees to protect them from “bullying and harassment” amid a corruption probe.
DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon said in a memorandum order that officials and employees of the department are “excused from wearing the prescribed office uniform until further notice.”

The order, dated Sept. 10, comes as the department faces a government investigation into alleged irregularities in flood control projects.
Dizon said the move aimed to “protect DPWH employees from bullying and harassment in connection with the ongoing investigation.”
He said employees are still expected to wear “appropriate and presentable attire” in line with civil service regulations.
