Safran Helicopter Engines, a subsidiary of Paris-based Safran Group, has appointed INAEC Aviation Corp. as its network partner.
The appointment authorizes INAEC to provide engine maintenance support for the Philippine Coast Guard and Philippine National Police.
Safran Helicopter Engines, formerly known as Turbomeca, is a leading global manufacturer of helicopter engines. The company has produced more than 75,000 engines and has over 2,500 customers in 155 countries.
Discussions for the partnership began in March 2024 after INAEC helped one of its clients secure a Support-By-The-Hour (SBH) agreement with Safran Helicopter Engines. The collaboration demonstrated INAEC’s maintenance and commercial capabilities, leading to the formal partnership.
The partnership contract was finalized and signed in May 2025 following a due diligence review. A subsequent qualification audit validated INAEC’s readiness.
“INAEC’s successful qualification demonstrates the alignment of its values with those of Safran,” said See Kah Meng, front office director of Safran Helicopter Engines Asia.
“Their culture of safety and industrial best practices will contribute to our global network to further enhance the quality of support we provide to our customers,” said Meng.
“For more than two decades, INAEC has relied on the proven reliability of Safran engines to support our operations,” said INAEC general manager Aldi Dexter Ampong.
“As a Safran Helicopter Engines network partner, INAEC aims to strengthen Safran’s network in the Philippines and ensure our nation’s air assets operate at the highest standards of safety and efficiency in fulfilling their critical missions,” said Ampong.
