The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Monday suspended onsite classes and government work for September 1 due to bad weather.
Schools—both public and private—are advised to cancel in-person activities. Work in national and local government offices are also suspended in the following areas:

The suspension order was attributed to heavy rainfall warnings issued by PAGASA due to the effects of a low pressure area and the southwest monsoon or ‘habagat.’
